ECI Young Leaders Academy

The alarming rise of antisemitic demonstrations and attacks against Jews — led by young people once seen as the “best and the brightest”— forces us to confront a troubling question: is this the future we are heading toward?

Although ECI is a Christian initiative, it is open for anyone who wants to fight antisemitism. At a time when Jews in Israel and around the world feel increasingly isolated and even demonised, nothing could be more important than showing the world that they are not alone. It depends on us. As of 2024, ECI is committed to training and empowering a new generation of young leaders by launching a unique Young Leaders Academy in Brussels. Our goal is to bring together emerging leaders from across Europe and provide them with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of European politics, Israel — from legal, historical, and faith perspectives — and how to combat antisemitism.

Each time we meet a new class of participants, who come from different backgrounds and experiences, but are joined together by their moral clarity and courage in standing up for humanity at a time of growing antisemitism and extremism in Europe.

Throughout the three dynamic days, the group met with senior ECI staff and Board members to learn about the vision and work of ECI, Members of the European Parliament, EU Officials, Jewish civil society representatives, as well as Israeli diplomats.

ECI is proud to follow the progress of our alumni who have gone through the ECI Young Leaders Academy. Their achievements span a wide range of leadership roles across Europe. One alumnus was recently nominated Secretary General of a parliamentary group in a key European nation. Among many other examples, Beniamin Mishkur from Ukraine met with the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and Markus Glennmo from Sweden was interviewed on Israeli television when he visited the Israeli Knesset as part of a Nordic delegation of young politicians.

In November 2025, Europe correspondent of Israeli Channel 14 enthusiastically shared how 21 young leaders from 15 different nations had come to Brussels for three days to learn how to become better advocates for Israel in our common combat against antisemitism. Our participants were invited to a live interview with a Channel 14 correspondent during a news broadcast, where they shared their experiences. And many other stories of our remarkable participants.

If you are a young professional between 19 and 30 and willing to get involved, please send us your CV and a motivation letter explaining why you want to take part in this programme to info@ec4i.org
