ECI at the 7th Christian Media Summit – International media is the 8th battlefront for Israel

Christian Media Summit 2025

Jerusalem, November 5th, 2025 – Just a few days ahead of the 50th anniversary of the infamous UN General Assembly Resolution 3379 which accused Zionism of racism, some 100 Christian media professionals from around the world are meeting in Israel to discuss the ramifications of the current media war against the State of Israel which has intensified after the terror attack on October 7, 2023. Fifty years after the UNGA resolution, which was revoked in 1991, the same slanderous attacks against Israel are being amplified by international media.

Speaking at the sidelines of the 7th Christian Media Summit in Jerusalem on Tuesday evening, ECI Founding Director Tomas Sandell summed up the message of the conference by noting that “truth is currently under attack as Israel continues to defend itself against media bias and outright lies on their 8th battlefront, international media.” But whereas Israel has been under continuous attack by the progressive left and radical Islam for more than fifty years, they are now joined by a new generation of right-wing extremists. US Senator Ted Cruz recently warned of rising antisemitism on the right while accusing church leaders of failing to address the problem.

Influential US commentator Tucker Carlson recently called Christian Zionism a “heresy” and “brain virus” while at the same time giving platform to controversial social media influencer Nick Fuentes who openly admires Hitler, denies the Holocaust and preaches white supremacism, dressed up as Christian traditionalism.

Warning about this new “Christian traditionalism” and its attempt to tear Christianity away from its Jewish foundations, Sandell noted that “this reminds us of the 1930’s when the German Nazis wanted to purge Christian faith from all of its Jewish elements. As we witness a resurgence of this theological heresy, called Positive Christianity in Nazi Germany, we have no choice but to speak up. History will not forgive us if we remain silent.”

At an evening gala event in the Museum of Tolerance on Monday night major Christian leaders like Reverend Johnnie Moore, Bishop Robert Stearns and CEO Troy Miller of the National Religious Broadcasters assured the audience that Christians will continue to stand strongly behind Israel even as Christian Zionism, that is Christian support for Jewish self-determination, is coming under increasing attack.

On Wednesday night several Christian leaders will receive the “Pillars of Jerusalem Award” for their work to foster Christian Jewish friendship. Among the recipients are the late Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who will receive the award posthumously as a recognition for his unwavering support of Israel. Other recipients include British journalist Douglas Murray, ICEJ Director Juergen Buehler and the President and CEO of International Fellowship of Christian and Jews, Yael Eckstein.

The five-day media summit, which has included messages from Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will come to an end on Thursday with briefing sessions at the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
